Awat Bertnand Abanyi
Awat Bertrand Abanyi is a visionary youth leader and environmentalist from Cameroon who has turned personal adversity into a lifelong mission for change. Growing up in a conflict-affected region, he witnessed firsthand how
war, displacement, and environmental degradation deepen the suffering of marginalized communities. Out of this reality, he founded Green Globe Organization, a youth-led movement that blends climate action with peacebuilding by empowering young people, indigenous groups, and internally displaced persons to restore ecosystems, create green livelihoods, and build resilience. Through his leadership, over 10,000 trees have been planted, 3700 students trained as "Climate Rescuers," 12 environmental school clubs created and 4 community orchards established as symbols of hope and renewal. Recognized nationally and internationally with multiple awards, Awat embodies the belief that even in the most fragile contexts, nature can be a bridge to peace and young people can be powerful agents of transformation. He is strongly advocate for Local Solutions to Local Program and his Mission is to
establish a mutual symbiosis between humans and the environment through a community participatory approach. He is also passionate about Service, Impact and Legacy, in this we find the Best of Humanity.
Maïga Sigame Boubacar
Dr. Sigame Boubacar Maïga is a visionary Malian scholar and peacebuilder dedicated to advancing education, justice, and sustainable development across Africa. As Holder of the UNESCO Chair in Education and Sustainable Development and Associate Professor at the École Normale Supérieure of Bamako, he leads efforts to transform learning into a driver of social progress.
He also directs the African Center for Scientific Research and Innovation, the Institut Grotius, and the Human Rights, Justice and Development Laboratory, fostering collaboration between research, education, and community action.
A PhD graduate from Aix-Marseille I University, Dr. Maïga’s work bridges philosophy, intercultural understanding, and human rights. Recognised as an Honorary Citizen of Quebec and Founding Father of the Francophone Youth Parliament of Canada, he embodies a lifelong commitment to peace, innovation, and service, believing that education is humanity’s most powerful path to transformation.

Ilham Kurnia Gustavakuan is a UNESCO Education Advocate focused on advancing Education for Sustainable Futures through skill development, TVET, and youth empowerment. With experience as an educator, trainer, and human development manager, he designs initiatives that support career growth, community building, and inclusive learning. Ilham believes education should bridge global challenges with local solutions, empowering youth with the knowledge and values to thrive in a changing world.
